RACE DAY SCHEDULE

Organisers will announce the race day schedule soon after registrations close. The event is expected to start at 8:00am and finish by 1:00pm.


VENUE

Shangri-La at the Fort, Manila, is a landmark, mixed-use development in the heart of Bonifacio Global City (BGC), an emerging contemporary lifestyle district at the centre of Metro Manila and one of the fastest growing urban developments in Asia. It features Shangri-La Hotel and Residences; Horizon Homes, a collection of distinct homes situated on the top floors with unhampered views of the metropolis; retail shops; and Kerry Sports Manila, a comprehensive lifestyle and leisure club.

Rising 250 metres high, Shangri-La at the Fort, Manila, will be one of the tallest towers in the Philippines and is a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) gold-certified green development, committed to achieving and maintaining the highest standard of sustainable design.

START

The course takes place in the staircase of Shangri-la at the Fort, Manila. Runners will complete a short run from the 2/F Lobby into the staircase.

FINISH

  • Full & Team Challenge: The race will finish at the Penthouse of the building climbing 59 floors at a height of 250 metres with an amazing panoramic view of Manila.
  • Horizon Challenge: The race will finish at the 39/F of the building.
  • Fun Climb: The race will finish at the 22/F of the building.

WATER STATIONS

Water will be available at the 22/F, 39/F, 50/F and the Penthouse.

COURSE CONDITIONS

Shangri-la at the Fort, Manila is a newly completed building and all stairs, railings, and running surfaces are in good condition.  Standard running shoes should be adequate for this event.  Before reaching the starting line, runners should make certain their shoes are securely tied.  Loose laces can cause one to trip and fall while ascending the building.  It is good practice for runners to double knot shoelaces for safety. It is also recommended that runners avoid participating with any accessories or loose fitting jewellery (necklaces, bracelets, large earrings etc) that might fall off during the climb.

RACE BIB INSTRUCTIONS

Putting on your Race Bib correctly is an essential step to having a great race. It’s important that race officials see your race bib so they know that you’re an official participant. If you don’t have your bib securely fastened in the right way, it could get annoying and uncomfortable during the race.
